Draft 2 Initial Feedback
I got some feedback on my second draft saying that the audio on the 'Getting to know me ep.1' clip was too distracting so I decided I would remove the audio on that clip entirely. I was also told that the clip of him standing outside of the shed felt a bit forced. I may include a clip of him talking outside of his house which would add some context and explain that he lives there. I was also told that I should add some scenes of him at work or in a kitchen because of how much he talks about it and possibly add some more cut aways because of how many of the same angle of him looking at the camera is used.

Sam Tied Down Draft 2
Since the last draft I made I have added music, added a few more clips of overlay footage and changed the colour correction on the side angle clip. I'm not sure on whether I feel like the music is in appropriate places or whether I should limit how much of the music I use so it's less repetitive.

Radio Scrips Draft
Link to script
This is a rough draft of what I want to include in my radio advert because it fits the conventions of having someone talking and then having something which represents the product. I will also have some music playing in the background so that will also fit the conventions. I'm going to send this to Sam and see what he thinks needs changing.

Newspaper Advert Feedback
These were the 2 favourites when I asked some people. Someone felt that the fonts looked a bit unprofessional so I may change them at some point to improve the quality of the adverts.
![]() |
I will most likely use this one because it was favoured by a majority and I feel like it's more
simplistic as it takes up less room.

I will create another version of this advert with the other font in case it comes out better as it was liked by the others but I will most likely use the other one. |

Newspaper advert drafts
I've made 5 newspaper advert drafts now and plan on showing them to some people to get feedback. I used an eraser tool around the edges of Sam in order to make the edges look less rough.

Sam Tied Down Draft 1
I have created a first draft with the footage I have filmed. I am feeling doubtful about a couple of scenes such as the overlays and the comments scene. I feel like the overlays get too loud at points and take away from Sam's dialogue but it's traditional for documentaries. I feel like the comments scene isn't traditional for a documentary. I will change the scenes depending on feedback when I show it to an audience. This has only been able to be uploaded to google drive in 360p so I'm going to upload it to a different website such as youtube or vimeo in 1080p.
Colour Match
Due to the different angles some of the scenes looked drastically different
Below is a front angle scene which I wanted to match colours with.
In the screencap below I used colour match tool for the side angle scene. I matched it with the scene above and it has made the scene look more similar and more colourful.Monday, 23 January 2017
Colour Balancing
The image below is some footage before I used the Final cut feature of colour balance.
This image is after I've applied a colour balance. I prefer this because it seems less gloomy and more bright.

Draft Feedback
I've shown two people some of my footage to see how they felt about how smooth some of the cuts were and whether they needed changing. Both people felt that the cuts were much too fast so I have changed them to look more fluent. This was during editing before I considered it a first draft.

Test Footage
I edited together a very rough draft with the test footage and rough logo I have recorded/designed. This shows a rough narrative structure and how I may put them together when it comes to the full thing. I wanted to test the transition for the title screen and I feel like the top to bottom push transition was very appropriate but for the final product I may change the speed of it. I also didn't edit in any music for the timelapse and the camera wasn't very steady. I'm going to look for ways to keep the camera more steady and find some appropriate music or maybe even create some. This is only the rough narrative structure and doesn't follow the storyboard as much as I want it to. I also didn't make Sam follow the script as much as he will in the final product.

Draft Script
Link to script
This is a link to a draft script which I have developed with Sam. The shots are based on the storyboard which can be found here. We will most likely include more scenes to extend the narrative and include more about his life.

Storyboard
Creating this storyboard has given me a much better idea of how I'm going to structure my mockumentary and will help heavily when it comes to writing my script

Rough storyboard 1
This is a very rough draft for my storyboard. I am going to create a similar storyboard and use some of the same slides but it will follow a slightly different narrative. This will help me pick between the slight differences and further expand them
